Naseef Curry (Tha Chase) has been into music from a very young age. Sneaking in his parents room to listen to michael jackson's “Thriller”. He lived with his mother and father in a small house in Charlotte, North Carolina where he was home schooled.  When he was 12 yrs old his parents separated.  He moved to Muskegon Heights, Michigan with his mother and siblings.  After some troubles with acquaintances over the summer, he went to public school for the first time.  This is where he started to find his way with music. When he turned 14, he started writing raps.  He began writing full time when he was 16 years old. While people around him were in the streets or doing illegal activity, “The Chase” stuck to his music.  He was 17 years old when one of his best friends was shot and killed, and 18 years old when he decided to start recording himself, making music and realizing he had to chase his goals. At 19, he moved back to North Carolina and decided to get serious about his music.
